IS-Wireless, a rapidly developing Polish software developer specializing in advanced wireless systems is proud to invite you to network during IEEE GLOBECOM 2014, which will be held on 8-12 December in Austin, Texas. We are thrilled to join leading experts and researchers during this exciting event.

IS-Wireless is one of the organizers of workshop on “5G New Air Interfaces”, which will take place during the first day of the conference, on 8 December. The workshop is co-organized together with EU FP7 5GNOW partners.

During the last day of the conference, on 12 December, IS-Wireless will be presenting a tutorial entitled “From 4G to 5G: A (r)evolution“.

LTE-Advanced as defined by 3GPP fulfills the ITU-R definition for being 4G system. One of the most important requirement for such a system is achieving 1Gb/s for low mobile service. As the deployments of 4G already took off, a concept of 5G is brought to the research community. Will the 5G be “just” an evolution of 4G, a totaly new radio interface or a communications revolution? The workshop presents background and main features of LTE-Advanced being a 4G system, including Carrier Aggregation, CoMP and higher order MIMO. We firstly present 3GPP LTE from Release 8 up to Release 12 and then move to 5G concepts as seen by the research communities.

GLOBECOM is a must-attend event for all researchers and engineers interested in the development of 5G and wireless in general. We will be delighted to set up a meeting during the conference to discuss any potential cooperation ideas.
