IS-Wireless Liquid RAN platform has successfully completed Phase 1 testing at the Open RAN Center for Integration and Deployment (ORCID), an independent lab run by EchoStar Corporation - parent company of the fourth largest facilities-based carrier in the US - in partnership with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
The NTIA is a U.S. government agency responsible for telecommunications policy and spectrum management. The ORCID initiative aims to validate the security and interoperability of Open RAN solutions before they are deployed in U.S. networks.
Phase 1 focused on security vulnerability testing, and our software passed with great results. Why is this important? It confirms that our solution is secure and aligned with the expectations of the U.S. market. It’s a strong signal that our commitment to open, secure, and disaggregated 5G networks is on the right track, and that we’re moving closer to offering our Private 5G to U.S. customers.
